COOLING TOWER
The cooling tower is a vital component of the condenser process. During this process, the water from the cooling tower absorbs the heat from the R-134a as it goes through the coils in the condenser. The transfer of heat in the coils causes the temperature of the water to rise. This warmed water then goes back to the cooling tower. While in the tower, the water rains through shelves with large surface area to increase the amount of air the water can release heat to. This creates a cooling effect on the water which is then sent back to the condenser to repeat the cycle of heat absorption.
